meet OUR BOARD

Vice President, John Henderson

John Henderson, originally from the East Coast, is a retired nuclear materials engineer who worked on the Hanford Nuclear Reservation prior to retiring.  He is a member of the Corvette Marque Club of Seattle and an avid pinochle player.  Henderson joined the board of directors of Hope For Horses in 2008 after becoming personally aware of examples of horse abuse and neglect.  As a previous board president and current Vice President, Henderson helps direct the mission and goals of HFH and successfully coordinated a nationwide fund raising campaign for a very special rescued Shetland pony.  Henderson’s hope is to give back to the community, to afford himself the satisfaction of knowing he is helping to save those that cannot save themselves, and to enjoy the human/animal connection that only animal lovers understand.
