Executive Director, Jenny Edwards

I often tell people that everything in my life led me to this “job.”  Prior to helping found HFH, I worked for Xerox, IBM, and Microsoft, and ran a couple of small businesses.  My background is in technology, finance, and business operations - both for profit as well as tax-exempt.

Professional Background

Board of Advisors - Unwanted Horse Coalition

Certified Animal Control Officer, 2005

Certified Level I - National Cruelty Investigations School

Director of Events and Outreach, Carol Tover

Carol’s first introduction to Hope for Horses was in 2005 when she was adopted a very special Arab named Gigolo.  Carol fell in love not just with Gigolo, but with Hope for Horses, and since 2005 she has held many roles in the organization.  In addition to becoming an adopter, Carol has fostered and transported horses,  coordinated or assisted with auctions and other fundraisers, and acted as a Case Manager, Investigator, and Adoption Cordinator.  For the past three years Carol  has coordinated our annual bowling tournament and designed our donation program at several local feed stores. Carol has a business management background and is very people oriented. Her better half plays in the country music band Bullet Creek - a much sought after group who have played at several Hope For Horses events.

Placement Coordinator, Judy Coey

Judy is an avid horsewoman and retired customer service manager for Bank of America.  For the past two years Judy has been an active volunteer for Hope For Horses doing everything from barn management and horse grooming to balancing bank statements and data entry.  As a placement coordinator, Judy really shines.  She knows each of the horses well, and takes time to carefully match horses with potential fosters or adopters.

Student Intern, Emily Druschba

Emily is a sophomore at Eastern Washington University.  Although her major is undecided, she’s leaning toward Zoology or Wildlife Research.  Emily grew up in Carnation and is an avid sports fan.  While her original plan for the summer was to work on a ranch, she wrote to us in the Spring and said, “just from spending five minutes on your website I feel that this would be way more fulfilling.”  Emily is being introduced to every aspect of Hope For Horses.  She answers the phones, responds to callers, creates marketing flyers, and even helps muck stalls and build fences.  We’re delighted to have Emily with us for the entire summer.

Staff Photographer, Tori Henderson

Tori is a sophomore at Western Washington University.  Tori’s first introduction to Hope For Horses was in 2008 when she completed her senior culminating project - a requirement for graduation from high school in Washington.
